Week Two of Dancing With The Stars: Season 12

1. Sugar Ray Leonard – His dance was entertaining, but he didn’t show a whole lot of technical skill. Judges score:  17/30.

2. Kendra Wilkinson – the sexy tomboy had a bit of a hard time trying to dance like an elegant lady. Judges score:  19/30.

3. Chelsea Kane – Their dance had an almost Alice in Wonderland feel to it – a little strange and slightly demented, but impossible to look away from nonetheless. I’m not sure if ‘creepy mime’ is my favorite look for Mark Ballas … but you know, whatever. And I guess Chelsea’s fluffy white ballet skirt (and matching candy cane knee socks?!) were kind of cute. Maybe, Judges score: 18/30. Read the rest of this entry »

Latest song from Glee‘s Warblers: Sadly, not so “sexy”

Earlier today, Glee released a new Warblers song: a fully show choir version of Rod Stewart’s “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy.”

I’m not even sure if this song actually makes it into an upcoming Glee episode, since it’s billed only as a “bonus track” on the April 19 Warblers album, but I honestly can’t help thinking that I really don’t care either way.

Because as much as I adore the vocal stylings of Darren Criss, that doesn’t change the fact that this entire song is decidedly un-sexy. Read the rest of this entry »

Dancing With The Stars: Season 12 Premiere

Dancing with the Stars premiered on Monday – complete with all it’s signature spray tans, sparkly costumes, and crazy collection of stars and/or pseudo celebrities.

Here’s the a recap of who’s on this season:

1. Disney star Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas

It’s obvious from the start that this pair is just going to be too adorably sweet for words. She’s the cheery little Disney blonde, and he’s the goofy young dance pro – so they’re practically bursting with youth, innocence, and adorableness. Read the rest of this entry »

Pretty Little Liars finale: who’s dead, who’s evil, and who do I want to be my BFF?

Let’s start with the bad news: Tonight is the season finale of Pretty Little Liars.

Pretty Little Liars is not my favorite TV show on watch and blog about weekly (that honor goes to Glee, as I’m sure you’ve noticed) – but as someone who usually avoids the obnoxiously catty teen dramas of the Gossip Girl and 90210 set … I’ve found myself somewhat reluctantly addicted to PLL. So I’ll be sad to see it go.

But on to the good news: My favorite character on this entire show – Hanna’s adorkable nerd friend Lucas – is finally back!! Lucas has been gone for multiple episodes, and I definitely squealed out loud a little when he suddenly appeared by the lockers in the background of one of the opening scenes. So the V finale totally sucked. As expected.

I’m sitting down to watch the season finale of ABC’s alien invasion drama, V.

And if the entire season-long run of this epic snoozefest is any indication, tonight’s episode is probably going to suck. But I’m at least going into this trying to be optimistic.

Perhaps there will be a relatively fair amount of Joshua scenes to hold my interest? That would be pretty cool. (Though really, let’s face it – not even an entire episode of Joshua (in all his sexy alien hotness) would surpass the awesomeness that was Glee last night.) Read the rest of this entry »

Original songs + lots of Warblers = excellent Glee episode

Tonight’s highly-anticipated Regionals episode of Glee certainly did not disappoint. Each of the night’s  seven total songs were excellent. (Though the best part, obviously, was the fact that this finally happened.)

Glee opened with Blaine and the Warblers singing Maroon 5’s “Misery”

Not going to lie – I definitely purchased this song on iTunes at around 12:30 this morning (only about 30 minutes after the track was first released). And I listened to it multiple times at work today. Basically, you’ve got Darren Criss singing a really catchy pop tune while the Warblers hum in the background. (You know, the Warblers’ usual.) But it works. And I love it. Read the rest of this entry »

Oh My KLAINE, I’m so excited!! (Pre-Glee Interlude)

I was at work today – normal Tuesday evening, whatever – getting close to heading home for the day. But one of the editors happens to be watching a live stream of tonight’s Glee episode (you know, like on east coast time). My boss walks by, and she casually asks what’s going on on Glee. The editor’s response is super casual. “Oh, Kurt and Blaine are just making out.”

Wait. What? Please excuse me while my entire world comes to a screeching halt.

Kurt. Blaine. Making out.

After 11 episodes of longing, hoping, and waiting – this wonderful, beautiful event is actually happening? Don’t mind me. I’m just going to die of happiness. You know, like peel over and fall into a coma out of pure excitement. No big deal. Read the rest of this entry »
