The world of television is pretty boring right now. It is one of those awkward in between times: all the summer shows have aired or will soon air their season finales, but none of the fall shows premiere for another few weeks.
So what is a diligent TV viewer to do? (Other than watch two full seasons of a long-cancelled 90s family comedy over the span of four short days …)
Honestly, I don’t have a good answer for that question. So for now, I am going to take a look back over some of the shows I’ve reviewed already – and hunt down a premiere date for those about to start back up again.
Fall shows: (Click title to read my original show review)
The Vampire Diaries – comes back on September 9 for season 2. And guess which surprise visitor from the finale will be sticking around for a while? Katherine, the scheming vampire who looks exactly like sweet little Elena. Holy case of mistaken identity, Batman! This could get interesting. (Or turn into a really bad soap opera. The jury’s still out.)
Glee – season 2 starts September 21. Finn and Rachel are a couple, Quinn is a Cheerio again, and Britney Spears will guest star in an early episode! Also, the man best known as Uncle Jesse is playing a dentist/new Emma love interest/enemy of Mr. Schue.
V – The aliens are coming! Season 2 starts sometime midseason – exact date still undetermined. Whatever. The very nice too look at good-alien doctor Joshua better stay alive this season, or I refuse to watch. Seriously. I’m this close to abandoning the show. They’d better not mess this up.
